  Parents and carers in Sudbury have been reminded by Suffolk County Council that they only have until Friday January 13 to submit primary school or middle school applications for their child. Graham Newman, portfolio-holder for Schools at Suffolk County Council said: "I would urge all parents and carers to make an application by the deadline to give them the best chance of securing a place at their preferred school." ...

  As you may already be aware by now, approximately two thirds of the nation's teachers will strike on Wednesday meaning that some schools in Sudbury will have to close for the day. Obviously this may cause problems for parents that will have to find alternative childcare arrangements.
