Cheap, cheerful, delicious and served with a smile
The cock and bell does some of the best value for money food of any eatery in the area. They have offers such as two meals for a tenner and the like and it's all really nice stuff. Good fish and chips, nice roasts and well kept beer. The food tastes homemade which is refreshing as lots of pubs - particularly those that do food so cheaply - just zap something in the microwave and you end up with shrivelled veg and overcooked meat. The staff are the other factor that bring this pub up above most others, as they are so friendly and know what they're doing. I would recommend trying this place out if you want cheap and cheerful food cooked well and served with a smile.
