POLICE IN Sudbury are appealing for information after a man in his seventies was robbed on the way home from the Silk Worm pub on Thursday night (April 12). Two men approached the elderly victim from behind as he walked across the Springlands Way Bridge. Yesterday we reported on a fire in a barn in Little Cornard near Sudbury. Today Suffolk Police have announced that the blaze was arson. Sudbury ‘hero’ admits he started blaze
RUSS JARVIS from Sycamore Road in Sudbury has been sent to prison for eighteen months after admitting to five counts of Arson. Twenty-year-old Jarvis had previously been described in the local media as a 'hero' after he rescued 72-year-old Grandmother Jean Cooper from her burning home. Spate of catalytic converter thefts in Suffolk- residents urged to protect their vehicles
OWNERS OF trucks and vans in Sudbury beware. Since December there have been 52 catalytic converters stolen from these types of vehicles in West Suffolk. The catalytic converters are being stolen because of the rise in value of scrap metal. In total the ones taken from vehicles in West Suffolk come to the value of £52,000.
