MUSIC LOVERS in Sudbury are gearing up for two massive music festivals taking place over the Diamond Jubilee weekend at AFC Sudbury's MEL Group Stadium.

The first festival is Lee Stock which is held to raise money for the Willow Foundation in memory of Sudbury man Lee Dunford. This festival takes place on Sunday June 3.On the Bank Holiday Monday (June 4) it is the turn of AFC Sudbury's Live and Kicking.

In 2011 a total of 1,300 people attended the two festivals, a figure organisers are confident of going well beyond this year.

Richard Instance, organiser of Live and Kicking, said: "The reason the two festivals decided to join forces to make the event one of the biggest and best on the region's musical calendar and it looks likely we will be achieving that aim."

He added: "Tickets for Live and Kicking are selling well and we believe we can attract more than the 700 plus we attracted last year and LeeStock is definitely going to sell more than the 500 odd tickets it sold last year. The venue can cater for up to a thousand people and we are hoping both days will be a sell out. Tickets are still available but are selling quickly."

A 'Weekender' ticket for both events is priced at £25.00 and is available from the White Horse Pub, Compact Music and Sudbury Library as well as online. More information on other ticket options and details on each festival can be found at www.afcsudbury.com or at www.leestock.org
