Lavenham Diamond Jubilee events

On Thursday the patriotic bunting was going up in Lavenham and today there is a great atmosphere in the village as everyone anticipates a bumper weekend of Diamond Jubilee celebrations. Below you will find our quick guide to everything that is going on in the village from today (Saturday June 2) until Monday June 5.

Saturday June 2 – 1950's party at Lavenham Village Hall

Tonight (Saturday June 2) Lavenham Village Hall will be buzzing with the sound of fabulous live music. The 1950's party will include a three course meal all for the reasonable price of £12.50.

Lavenham Big Jubilee Lunch

On Sunday June 3 there will be Big Jubilee Lunch taking place in Lavenham Market Place throughout the day. Those that attend will be able to watch what the Queen is getting up to on a big screen which will be set up especially for the Diamond Jubilee festivities.

Lavenham beacon lighting

On Monday night at 10.15pm Jubilee beacons will be lit across the UK. In case you didn't know the Lavenham beacon is at the recreation ground. The village will celebrate the lighting of the beacon with a big BBQ and a firework display.
